CIAC and Hartford HealthCare Partner for 2026 State Lacrosse Championships
CHESHIRE, CT (April 29, 2026) – Today, the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) announced a multi-year partnership with Hartford HealthCare to become the presenting sponsor of the CIAC Boys and Girls Lacrosse State Championships. CHESHIRE, Conn - In recognition of exceptional careers of service to CAS-CIAC, seven distinguished honorees will be celebrated as the ninth class in the CAS-CIAC Hall of Honor. 2026 Basketball Dedication Ceremony
CHESHIRE, Conn. – The CIAC kicks off its Basketball State Championship Weekend with the Boys and Girls Basketball State Championships Dedication Ceremony at Mohegan Sun on Friday, March 20. Nine distinguished individuals will be celebrated. The Dedication Ceremony is open to the public and the media. It will begin at 5pm and be held in the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun. 2026 Michael H. Savage Spirit of Sport Award Honorees
The 2026 Spirit of Sport Award honors both a senior from Tolland High School, Cam Soucy, and the Avon High School field hockey team. They have both been selected for exemplifying sportsmanship, leadership, perseverance and integrity both on and off the field. Celebrating Unified Sports
Joel Cookson The culminating events of the Connecticut high school football season took place on December 13, with 12 teams vying for CIAC Football State Championships. It was the biggest day on the high school football calendar in Connecticut. Roughly a month earlier another big day in Connecticut high school football took place with far less fanfare, but with no less import for the kids taking part. For those kids, and for the many who may follow in their footsteps, it was a day worthy of championship excitement. (Click for more...)
