The coach of the winning team must telephone results to Tournament Director Dawn O'Neil immediately upon completion of the game - cell # 860-377-3321.
Postponed games due to weather must be played the next day. The schedule for the following rounds will not be adjusted, which could result in teams playing back to back games to keep the tournament on schedule. If a school is hosting a qualifying, first round or quarterfinal game, and their field is unavailable or unplayable, it is their responsibility to provide a suitable alternate site, or the game will be played at the site of their opponent.
Home teams with lights may opt to start later then 2:00 but must notify both their opponent and the Tournament Director.
There will be an admission fee for all quarterfinal, semifinal and final games, and there will be no paper tickets, all ticket sales and redemptions will be digital.
Visiting teams should contact host schools to check on playing surface, field location, etc.
All tournament games will be assigned by Debbie Martin the CIAC officials assigner. If a game is postponed, the Athletic Director is responsible for contacting the officials directly.
Field Hockey Champions will be determined by using the CIAC Tournament Tie-Breaking Procedures. A tied game will be broken to determine the winner by playing up to two 10-minute”sudden victory” OT periods. If the score remains tied, a Shoot-Out will take place to determine a Champion.
